About the Role
UNH Manchester College of Professional Studies invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Technology courses and labs beginning the fall semester. Courses include Fluids and Heat Transfer, Control Systems, Material Science, and Mechanical Design. These are 16-week, on-campus offerings.
Responsibilities
- 3-hour weekly lectures, with classes meeting in person for two 1½ hour sessions per week
- 2-hour weekly laboratory sessions
- Maintain course materials through the Learning Management System (LMS) (50% of duties)
- Proctor exams, grade homework, and laboratory reports in a timely manner (30% of duties)
Requirements
- Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Previous college teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, including current developments and technologies in the field
- Ability to teach and mentor students in a laboratory setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Pay
Pay Range: $4,000 - $5,500 per 4-credit course based on qualifications.
