Adjunct Mechatronics Instructor

Job Responsibilities

• Teach Mechatronic courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies
• Develop, revise, and maintain course materials
• Recommend/design new programs
• Maintain office hours
• Participate in appropriate professional development opportunities
• Participate in College and community activities, promote the mission of the College
• Develop/implement retention strategies
• Absorb/assist with student advising and registration
• Serve on College committees
• Promote institutional goals
• Assist with departmental administrative responsibilities

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering or other related field and three years of work experience in the field
• Combined education, industry-recognized credentials, license, or certifications, and experience may be substituted for a degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Additional Comments

• Professional development and other college activities may require overnight travel and independent study
• Day, evening and possible weekend student advisement and instruction will be required
• Professional, collegial, and ethical conduct, decisions, and relationships are expected at all times
