Mechanisch Engineer

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer at WPS, you’ll be at the core of our logistics solutions. You translate customer needs into smart designs and technical specifications, overseeing the technical aspects of projects from start to finish. You’ll seamlessly switch between 3D design, collaboration, and on-site project work, ensuring designs move from concept to reality.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer both standalone machines and complete logistics systems in 3D.
• Collaborate with colleagues across sales, engineering, and other teams to refine and finalize designs.
• Oversee the transition of your designs into practical implementation, ensuring smooth handoffs and execution.
• Participate in internal project meetings and visit clients for technical alignment when needed.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including specifications, drawings, and related project files.

Requirements

• Technical background with at least an HBO-level (higher professional education) mindset, through formal education or experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a comparable role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and 3D design software (experience with Solid Edge is a plus).
• Solution-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about technology.
• Independent, strong communicator, and holds a valid driver’s license (B).
