About the role
This position is located at a BAE Systems facility and requires full-time, in-person work on a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday).
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Prepares the surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products by cleaning, stripping, abrading, sanding, masking, and stenciling.
- Selects and mixes finishing materials.
- Assists mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components.
- Fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
- Assists with analyzing data and recommending modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications.
- Works from process sheets, diagrams, and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools and jigs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year work experience with Electro/Mechanical assembly
- Active Secret Clearance
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs
- Ability to obtain SAP/SAR Clearance
