About the role
Pillar Innovations is seeking a Mechanical Field Technician I to support a variety of exciting projects. Key responsibilities include assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings. You'll collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers, gain valuable experience, and work on-site in various industrial, commercial, and residential locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other Engineering personnel to organize tools and materials and plan for assembly and installation
- Learn to interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products
- Absorb and apply basic mechanical principles
- Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue
- Learn to develop and execute quality control and project check lists
- Learn to view designs and navigate 3D/2D CAD software
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a role requiring hands-on mechanical applications and installations
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to identify and use basic hand tools
- Ability to follow work direction and prioritize assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
