Mechanical Technician

About the role

Ripon Paint and Body is an accident and repair centre within the Ripon Farm Services Group. Located in new purpose-built premises, the facility holds several insurance and manufacturing approvals, including Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Nissan, Stellantis, and VW Group.

Responsibilities

• Complete mechanical repairs for manufacturers, insurance companies, and the public.
• Repair a variety of vehicles from the company fleet, including accident-damaged vehicles.
• Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect vehicles' engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Accurately record time and associated details for jobs and complete all documentation to the required standard.
• IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing repair centre.

Requirements

• Previous working experience as a Mechanic, ideally with MOT certification.
• Ability to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification.

Skills

• Computer-based diagnostic equipment proficiency.
