Mechanical Technician
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Works cooperatively with the carpentry, electrical, general maintenance, and plumbing departments to ensure all Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) needs of Oneida Nation are being provided.
Responsible for ensuring HVAC equipment is being always maintained and functioning properly.
Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment for the non-gaming Tribal buildings and homes of Oneida Comprehensive Housing as needed.
Ensure high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) Technology or closely related field from an accredited college and three (3) years of previous experience with licensed contractor in the following and/or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered:
- a. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, modern methods, procedures, practices, tools, and materials involved in general HVAC Maintenance and upkeep.
- b. Handling of and working with new refrigerants such as A2L refrigerants.
- c. Troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating residential appliances.
- d. Boiler efficiency testing and tune-ups.
Must possess an EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling.
Experience with plug and switch wiring.
