Entegris is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA. In this role, you will perform tasks related to building Ultra High Purity Systems, including manufacturing sub-assemblies to engineering specifications and assisting with routing cables and conduit.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand standard and non-standard options per Customer Data Sheets (CDS) requirements.
  • Work from instructions, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings, illustrations, and process documentation to assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies and systems with supervision.
  • Follow verbal instructions to build sub-assemblies.
  • Learn cabinet preparation by installing bracketing, piping insulation, and sub-assemblies with supervision.
  • Adhere to engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine, repetitive assembly operations and processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment while improving On-Time Shipments.
  • Work safely and recognize the safety of others.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in work performance.
  • Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of mechanical assembly and/or relevant experience.
  • Ability to learn to navigate operating systems to find BOMs, drawings, and instructions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs daily.
  • Ability to climb ladders and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to learn how to handle material responsibly.
  • Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

Pay

$23–$25 hourly range, dependent on candidate skills.
