Mechanical Technician 2

Our client, a leading automotive and advanced battery technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 to join their Battery Cell Innovation and Manufacturing Operations team in Warren, MI.

About the role

Set up, operate, clean, test, and maintain manufacturing and laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance activities. Work in a clean-room environment while following PPE and safety requirements. Collect, analyze, and document process and testing data to support continuous improvement efforts. Partner with engineering and support teams to execute testing, builds, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, chemical, and/or electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience interpreting engineering instructions and using manufacturing or laboratory computer applications.
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
