About the role
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Direct a high-performing supply planning team; design and execute organizational structures to scale capabilities and mentor talent.
- Drive multi-tier strategic alignment across global sites, overseeing Tier 1/2 integration, component-level forecasting, and inventory risk mitigation.
- Partner closely with cross-functional leadership (SCM, GCM, ME, Finance, ASCII, SCOE) to present supply performance and strategic roadmaps directly to Directors and Vice Presidents.
- Manage inventory control, establish the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for MYD/DCH plans, and enable late-binding machine learning decision frameworks.
- Advise forums to resolve capacity bottlenecks, institutionalize long-range planning heatmaps, and optimize buffer strategies to minimize costs and equipment lead times.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications:
- - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- - 10 years of experience in supply chain program management and supply planning.
- - 7 years of experience in leadership roles, including people management of supply chain planners or managers.
- - 5 years of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Advanced Planning Systems (such as Kinaxis, SAP, or Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning) in manufacturing or infrastructure.
- Preferred qualifications:
- - Master’s/MBA in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Business, or a technical field.
- - 10 years managing complex, cross-functional global cloud hardware or data center supply chain operations.
- - Experience in late-binding strategies, statistical inventory/projection modeling, process controls, and building Single Source of Truth (SSOT) datasets.
- - Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate, collaborate, and drive strategic consensus with Director and Vice President level executives.
- - Track record orchestrating multi-tier networks, specifically Tier 1 integrators, Tier 2 suppliers, and delivery schedules.
