Mechanical Superintendent's General Tasks & Duties
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace for commercial plumbing projects
- Uphold a professional demeanor and appearance
- Track project progress, costs, and tasks through organized daily job files
- Auxiliary Project Manager with reports, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Optimize schedules and priorities for profitability and efficiency
- Set and communicate clear daily goals for plumbing crews
- Ensure plumbers meet or exceed objectives
- Submit accurate timesheets promptly
- Verify on-site availability of materials and supplies
- Perform plumbing tasks to support crew and project needs
- Monitor progress against plans and specifications, ensuring timely, high-quality completion
- Verify system functionality throughout projects
- Enforce plumbing-specific safety standards
- Train and guide team members on commercial plumbing techniques
- Report project status regularly to the Project Manager
- Maintain and secure tools and equipment
- Suggest improvements to plumbing services
- Perform assigned duties in compliance with regulations and safety standards

- High customer satisfaction via on-time projects and minimal complaints
- Low accident rates through adherence to safety protocols
- Regular performance updates to Project Manager
- Accurate daily reports on hours, materials, and issues

Employment Requirements
- High school diploma; HVAC, plumbing, or other mechanical training required
- 5+ years of commercial mechanical experience
- Basic literacy and math skills
- Skill in assessing work quality
- Freshman-level English communication
- Composure under pressure
- Full mobility and ability to lift 50 pounds
- Strong hearing, vision, and spatial skills
- Mechanical aptitude for plumbing systems
- Ability to train and manage plumbers efficiently
- Competence in scheduling and resource planning
- Pass felony background check and drug tests
