Mechanical Superintendent

About the role
As Power Design expands into mechanical work, we are seeking a Mechanical Foreman to play a critical leadership role in the success of our projects. You will ensure all projects maintain high levels of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while utilizing innovative technologies in the field, including company-provided iPads. You’ll also have the opportunity to travel to our 16,000-square-foot training facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, for customized training courses.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the project Superintendent and other trades to oversee the assigned scope, including the management of material and manpower.
- Enforce and promote high quality and safety standards.
- Utilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure projects are completed on time and exceed customer expectations.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate employees working on the designated scope.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Progressive experience in Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing leadership with a passion for using technology and a desire for a clear career path.
- At least five years of experience as a skilled field supervisor managing a scope and running multimillion-dollar projects.
- Active journeyman or master license preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of the IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE Standards; local codes; and construction safety requirements.
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Basic computer and writing skills required.
