About the Role

In this role, you will oversee all mechanical construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and equipment while maintaining strict adherence to schedules, budgets, and client specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all mechanical field operations, including piping, equipment installation, rigging, welding, and associated systems
  • Lead field crews and coordinate subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity across mechanical scopes
  • Execute daily work plans and schedules aligned with production targets and job sequencing requirements
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and other superintendents to resolve field issues and align construction priorities
  • Maintain strict safety standards in compliance with OSHA, client, and company protocols; lead jobsite safety meetings and audits
  • Monitor work progress and ensure that all installations meet project specifications, quality requirements, and industry codes
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and timekeeping records; track materials, labor, and equipment usage
  • Participate in constructability reviews, pre-construction meetings, and project closeout processes

Requirements

  • 7+ years of mechanical field experience with at least 3 years in a superintendent or lead supervisory role
  • Proven knowledge of piping systems, mechanical installations, welding procedures, and heavy equipment setting in industrial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, isometrics, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Experience in the petrochemical, refining, heavy industrial, commercial, or data center sectors (preferred)
  • Proficiency in field management tools (e.g., reporting software, layout systems) (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site during active construction phases (preferred)
