About the role

Responsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversight, and management of industrial mechanical construction projects up to $10M in value. Assists the Project Manager in coordinating activities of employees engaged in the construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications. This position supports craft supervision in coordinating field activities and ensures projects meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman to ensure critical activities and decisions remain on schedule.
  • Oversee field-specific activities for industrial construction projects from setup to closeout across energy, power, mining, manufacturing, pharma, and other industries.
  • Document and communicate project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule to the project management team.
  • Respond to subcontractor requests regarding field issues affecting budget, quality, or schedule.
  • Supervise daily work of employees and verify conformance of finished work product, including compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met on-site.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources to ensure timely, cost-effective project completion.
  • Enforce company safety and work rules, ensuring all employees receive proper training for their roles.
  • Assign work, monitor job costs, and provide monthly forecasting reports.
  • Complete written reports on job progress, costs, and other requested matters.
  • Support on-the-job training for team members to maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor job sites for safety and work quality.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify new business opportunities for Loenbro.
  • Review and provide feedback on project schedules, working with the Project Engineer to update and distribute to stakeholders.
  • Produce cost-based estimates for RFPs submitted to Loenbro.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing mechanical craft trades.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing software.
  • Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience with Viewpoint or similar accounting software.
  • Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Completion of OSHA or equivalent safety training.
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Potential Hazards

  • Primarily outdoor work with exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Mining environments and confined spaces, including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces and uneven terrain (average of two miles of walking per day).
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Areas with limited visibility.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Climbing up and down stairs, ladders, and scaffolding at significant heights.
  • Lifting equipment and materials weighing 1–50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly.
  • Standing, sitting, stooping, crawling, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Use of a respirator if required by the position.
  • Driving as needed for travel; valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required.

Pay

Colorado Pay Range: $45 USD – $60 USD per hour.
