Supervises craft employees in a specific construction discipline and supports the estimating team with project estimates.
Responsibilities
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”

- Plans and supervises work activities, determining construction methods, safety procedures, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules, and documents actual hours worked.
- Oversees precision of rotating and static equipment.
- Coordinates assigned work with different crafts, company departments, and/or other contractors.
- Maintains liaison with safety, engineering, estimating, and planning departments to ensure compliance with safety policies, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Assists in resolving construction problems and safety issues.
- Supports estimates and proposal development.
- Conducts accident investigations with the safety department.
- Maintains communication with HR to resolve manpower requisitioning issues.
- Monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements; documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented.
- Maintains liaison with Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure support for craft activities and project schedules.
- Conducts field safety audits and maintains a complete understanding of the Corporate Safety Manual and requirements.
- Performs additional responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in similar facility construction, including knowledge of construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
- 1+ years’ experience supervising craft employees.
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to supervise large groups and apply innovative, effective management techniques to maximize performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to conduct job walks and document thorough, accurate observations.
- Ability to estimate tasks and work in Excel spreadsheets.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
