About the role
Responsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversight, and management of commercial mechanical construction projects up to $200M in value. Assists Project Manager in coordinating activities of employees engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on schedule for the project management team.
- Oversee field specific activities for commercial construction projects from setup to closeout related to industries including power, and data center / mission critical.
- Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
- Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule.
- Supervise the daily work of employees.
- Verify conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.
- Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met.
- Cordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction of large-scale commercial projects.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing mechanical craft trades.
- Previous experience working on data center or mission critical projects.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
- Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
- Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
- Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
- Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
- Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
- Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
- Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds
- Potential or periodic amounts of time for the following: Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
- Standing
- Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
- Driving if required to travel
