Responsibilities

  • Audit facilities and projects to ensure compliance with Company standards, policies, practices, and governmental and industry codes.
  • Assist area teams in the development of O&M and Capital projects related to natural gas compression equipment, including:
    • Identification of Projects
    • Project Justification
    • Project prioritizing and work scopes
    • Project Management
    • Project Commissioning
  • Work with Operations and Equipment Analysts to develop work scopes for scheduled overhauls and submit information to the Overhaul Coordinator.
  • Utilize a comprehensive, systematic, and integrated approach using maintenance and operational elements such as preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, performance monitoring, and root cause failure analysis to develop, execute, and evaluate the company's asset management program.
  • Work with vendors and contractors on scheduling maintenance, warranty, and equipment performance issues.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, analyze data, and provide troubleshooting expertise to field teams as required.
  • Perform failure investigations and implement measures to prevent future failures.
  • Review and approve lock out tag out and project work plans for compressor projects associated with natural gas compressors and auxiliary equipment.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support related to operations and maintenance of natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment.
  • Support and monitor the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery utilizing the Maintenance Management System.
  • Provide periodic assessments for the prevention of equipment failures.
  • Perform all aspects of project management for compression-related repairs, overhauls, installations, and replacement.
  • Review, develop, implement, and enforce mechanical operating procedures.
  • Work with vendors and contractors on warranty and equipment performance issues.
  • Conduct training, skill progression verification, and Operator Qualification verification of employees in the Division.
  • Provide assistance and expertise necessary to ensure compressor engine compliance with emission requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance, safety, and regulatory requirements associated with rotating equipment in the natural gas industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong human relations skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Organized with the ability to effectively schedule, establish priorities, and plan efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a functional team with peers geographically dispersed across the Division.
  • Interface with management and field personnel to ensure uniformity, continuity, and promote customer service.
  • Proven safe driving record; subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol related regulations.

Working Conditions

  • Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions.
  • Subject to call-out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Approximately 70% travel within the Division and the assigned area of responsibility.
