About the role

You’ll play a vital role in the installation and support of solar panel systems while contributing to various construction, mechanical, and industrial projects across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

  • Install mechanical and electrical components of a solar energy system
  • Learn to safely work around the electrical wiring of solar array/systems (AC and DC)
  • Run conduit and cables from solar panels to combiner boxes
  • Assist with the layout and construct solar modules/arrays and mounting hardware
  • Mount mechanical and structural racking, modules, and electrical equipment
  • Provide general labor for various construction, industrial and mechanical projects
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements as required

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience for piles, racking, and/or mods preferred
  • 1-3 years of mechanical experience in a residential, commercial, or industrial capacity required
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in solar commercial/industrial mechanical fields required
  • Prior experience leading small crews in the installation of solar piles, racking, and/or mods preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience operating Pile Driving Equipment such as a PD-10 or equivalent
  • Experience using basic hand tools

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of industrial construction and mechanical practices

Pay

  • USD $22.00/Hr.
  • USD $30.00/Hr.

Schedule

  • Flexibility is key in this role, as it will involve travel, out-of-town work, and a work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasionally night shifts.
