Mechanical Shop Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize Mechanical and Hydraulic shop, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
• Processes requisitions and small parts orders to ensure proper inventory levels in tool rooms and supply cages.
• Provides insight to management on tools and supplies needed.
• Oversees day-to-day tracking of all tools and consumables assigned to the Mechanics team onsite.
• Supports mechanics and technicians in equipment/tool maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Knowledge of tools and their uses and applications.
• Knowledge of mechanical hardware and fasteners.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a mechanics shop.
• Technical/Vocational education.
• Forklift or Heavy Equipment Operation experience.
