Mechanic Shop Assistant

Duties & Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor work orders and shop tools
• Transport vehicles
• Stock and maintain parts for repairs
• Clean and maintain equipment as directed

Other Roles & Functions

• Operate various equipment including vehicles, heavy duty trucks and trailers, forklifts, skyjacks, pallet jacks, and lawn equipment

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Valid state-issued Driver License and acceptable driving record
• Desire to learn about different fleet mechanics
• Strong ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction
• Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines
• Strong problem-solving ability

Preferred:

• Willing to obtain CDL for test driving purposes
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Good communication skills
