Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

RQ Construction is a nationwide Design-Build contractor specializing in complex commercial and Department of Defense projects. We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead and coordinate the mechanical scope of projects in and around Jacksonville, Florida. Qualified candidates located outside the area may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical work on assigned projects.
• Work closely with mechanical superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams to keep work safe, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with contract and government requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred; High School diploma or GED required.
• Additional education or training in construction management, project management, mechanical trades, BIM, CADD, or related areas is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing mechanical work on commercial or government construction projects valued at $5 million or more.
• Mechanical field or trade experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with military, government, large-scale commercial, or Design-Build projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6 preferred; training available.
• Experience with BIM software preferred; training available.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
