Responsibilities
- Collaborate and communicate with field mechanics, operations, and TOC personnel to improve equipment health
- Monitor equipment health via Intelie and Remote Fleet Vision to analyze patterns and trends that could indicate potential equipment failures
- Analyze open and pending field work orders
- Aid in determining if equipment needs to come to yard for further inspection and repairs to prevent potential catastrophic failures
- Create and review work orders for Field Failure Reports (FFRs) and ensure they properly identify the repairs needed
- Provide experienced guidance to field and TOC personnel regarding basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks needed in the field
- Respond, evaluate, and prioritize alarms for potential equipment related issues
- Collaborate with other personnel in the TOC to communicate equipment status and discuss maintenance requirements
- Analyze field notes (72 Hour Service Due Report) submitted by field mechanics to view the fleet’s overall equipment health and determine repairable equipment in the field
- Conduct the 72 Hour Service Due Report upon receipt of field notes to determine the number of additional units that require maintenance repairs at the end of job
- Review all FFRs, open work orders, and create new work orders when necessary
- Ensure shop mechanics can correctly identify, diagnose, repair, and test repairs based on work order descriptions
- Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilizing proper personal protective equipment where applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience maintaining and repairing electronic instrumentation and automation on oilfield services equipment
- A technical Associate degree or certificate is preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience
- A High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
- Knowledge of air brake system
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic fracturing equipment, 12/24-volt systems, and diesel transmissions (i.e., CAT, Cummins, and Detroit)
- Knowledge of fluid capacities and types used in engines, transmissions, power ends, drive boxes, and small engines
- Clear communication skills, able to effectively interact with team members, leads, and supervisors
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, Power Apps, and able to quickly learn other work-related software
- Safety conscious, observant, and willing to use stop work authority when necessary
- Physically able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Physically able to safely perform duties in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
- Physically able to remain alert and safe during exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noises
- Physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Physically able to safely lift or move 50 lbs. without assistance
