About the role

Join us as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Washington, Pennsylvania. You'll be part of a skilled team ensuring large industrial equipment operates smoothly for continuous production.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment including rolling mills, annealing furnaces, slitters, conveyors, and hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, power transmission systems, etc.
  • Perform some maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
  • Quickly learn ATI’s manufacturing equipment/systems and maintenance program.
  • Solve problems, determine corrective actions, and identify ways to improve production efficiency.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely by following safety practices and rules.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance on various electrical and electronic systems.
  • Implement process improvements and methods to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Assess and troubleshoot issues using standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start-up, and installation.
  • Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work.
  • Operate for trucks, man lifts, cranes, etc.
  • Provide assistance in operating functions/areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least two years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, farming, military, or other industrial environment.
  • OR Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, or other mechanical program.

Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
  • Effective communication skills for working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills for prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work independently without direction and as part of a team

Benefits

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will work in various plant areas/departments, under different environmental conditions, and perform work at various heights and within some confined spaces. This role is Monday-Saturday, and as part of our Union Maintenance Team, you must be willing to work all shifts in our 24/7 operation. Overtime may be available including other shifts and weekends.
