Mechanical Maintenance Instructor - Senior/Lead

About the Role

This position involves demonstrating expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying plant-specific nuclear maintenance and technical training programs across disciplines such as Chemistry, Engineering, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Radiation Protection.

Responsibilities

• Conducts performance-based training to improve personnel and plant performance, ensuring programs align with systematic training models and incorporate industry and regulatory updates.
• Prepares and evaluates trainee assessments across various training environments, providing counseling and developing individualized training plans.
• Supports business initiatives, project management, outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects.
• Participates in audits, maintains training records, and supports continuous improvement of training effectiveness.
• Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills, and techniques to develop high-quality training.
• Performs additional duties like emergency response and outage support as needed.

Requirements

• M&T Instructor: High school diploma/GED with 3 years of nuclear technical experience or 5 years of related experience; or a technical degree with less experience.
• Sr M&T Instructor: High school diploma/GED with 5-7 years of nuclear or related experience; or a technical degree with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ANS standards and ability to maintain security access are required.

Skills

• Experience delivering training and familiarity with systematic training approaches.
• For senior roles, supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
