Lead / Senior Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
The Lead/Senior Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role requires a highly skilled maintenance professional who can lead by example, mentor technicians, and drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and systems.
Support and maintain plating and/or powder coating lines, including associated pumps, conveyors, ovens, tanks, controls, and environmental systems.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Aid with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement projects.
Lead maintenance activities during equipment outages and major repairs.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
Partner with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
Qualifications
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; senior-level experience preferred.
Previous experience supporting plating lines, powder coating lines, paint systems, or similar finishing processes strongly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills in: Electrical systems, PLCs and industrial controls, Mechanical systems, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Motors, drives, and conveyors.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Leadership experience or the ability to provide technical direction and mentorship.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.

Day Shift
Regular overtime expected based on production and maintenance needs.
Must be willing to support occasional weekend work when required.
