About the role
You will perform mechanical maintenance on baggage handling systems (conveyance), overhead doors, security gates and passenger loading bridges. You will work with crew that is responsible for proper and timely completion of both corrective and preventive maintenance and answering trouble calls. You will perform other mechanical and metal work as required, including welding, burning, grinding, turning, cutting, threading, drilling, and shaping parts using both stationary and portable power and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance on baggage handling systems (conveyance), overhead doors, security gates and passenger loading bridges.
- Work with crew that is responsible for proper and timely completion of both corrective and preventive maintenance and answering trouble calls.
- Perform other mechanical and metal work as required, including welding, burning, grinding, turning, cutting, threading, drilling, and shaping parts using both stationary and portable power and hand tools.
Requirements
- Experienced – Five (5) years of experience performing both preventive and corrective maintenance at the journey person level on airport baggage handling systems (conveyors) or a manufacturing or production mechanical equipment environment.
- Desired – Structural welding certification; knowledge of and experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and with MS software.

Pay
- $65.40/hour NO WABO or $67.75/hour with WABO, Swing +10%, Graveyard +15%.
