Mechanical Inspector – Solar Trackers (Utility Scale)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect installation of solar tracker systems (structure, torque, alignment, and assembly).
• Verify compliance with OEM specifications (preferably Nextracker) and project standards.
• Monitor mechanical installation activities including piles, structures, and tracker components.
• Perform quality inspections and field audits.
• Identify and report non-conformities or installation issues.
• Document progress with daily reports, field notes, and photographic evidence.
• Support punch list development and pre-commissioning inspections.
• Cook up coordination with construction and QA/QC teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures on site.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical inspection within solar projects.
• Strong experience with solar tracker systems.
• Experience with Nextracker systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of torque verification, alignment, and mechanical QA processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Experience in utility-scale solar construction projects.
• Strong field presence and attention to detail.
• Basic to intermediate English (ability to communicate on site).
• Availability to work on-site in Oregon, USA.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States or hold a valid TN Visa.
