Key Responsibilities
- Inspect installation of solar tracker systems (structure, torque, alignment, and assembly).
- Verify compliance with OEM specifications (preferably Nextracker) and project standards.
- Monitor mechanical installation activities including piles, structures, and tracker components.
- Perform quality inspections and field audits.
- Identify and report non-conformities or installation issues.
- Document progress with daily reports, field notes, and photographic evidence.
- Support punch list development and pre-commissioning inspections.
- Cook up coordination with construction and QA/QC teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures on site.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical inspection within solar projects.
- Strong experience with solar tracker systems.
- Experience with Nextracker systems is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of torque verification, alignment, and mechanical QA processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
- Experience in utility-scale solar construction projects.
- Strong field presence and attention to detail.
- Basic to intermediate English (ability to communicate on site).
- Availability to work on-site in Oregon, USA.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States or hold a valid TN Visa.
