Mechanical HVAC Service Technician

About the role

Ahern is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician to fulfill service work with customers in the Stevens Point and surrounding areas. In this role, you will troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues, conduct preventative maintenance on chillers, rooftop units, air handling units, hot water pumps, boilers, burners, and perform combustion tuning. You will also be on a rotating on-call schedule and service a wide variety of industries, including heavy industrial, commercial, schools, healthcare, and food plants.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance on chillers, rooftop units, air handling units, hot water pumps, boilers, burners, and perform combustion tuning
• Service a wide variety of industries, including heavy industrial, commercial, schools, healthcare, and food plants
• Be on a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician, ideally working on owner-direct service work
• Universal Refrigerant certification
• Clean driving record to operate company vehicles
• Ability to travel for the position
• Pass an appropriate drug screen and physical (job entails a great deal of lifting and climbing)
