About the Role

Lead mechanical installation projects at customer sites across North America. Oversee installation crews, coordinate work assignments, ensure high-quality workmanship, maintain safety standards, and complete projects on time and within budget. This hands-on leadership role requires planning, team guidance, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with project management to deliver successful mechanical system installations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks safely and efficiently as advised by site supervision.
  • Plan and complete conveyor layouts, verify component fit, and pre-assemble conveyor sections for efficient on-site installation.
  • Lead installation of structural elements, including header steel, platforms, and other steel frameworks to ensure mechanical systems are securely and accurately installed.
  • Take personal responsibility for your safety and the safety of others on-site.
  • Install conveyors, safety guardrails, and racking systems with attention to alignment, structural integrity, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform detailed installation tasks, validate mechanical assemblies, and conduct initial run-in testing to confirm accurate function before commissioning.
  • Provide mentorship, basic training, and support to less experienced personnel.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, assign tasks, and supervise daily progress.
  • Conduct daily Tool Box talks, maintain safety documentation as well as Gensuite audits, and ensure compliance with safety laws, site policies, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, General Contractors, and other trades.
  • Detect and resolve technical issues with existing systems and/or work being performed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience; technical degree or specialized training preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience installing and/or maintaining conveyor or material handling equipment.
  • 100% travel to customer sites across the United States, using your personal vehicle. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lead small to intermediate groups of teams composed of a diverse set of backgrounds and capabilities.
  • Acquire OSHA 30 certification upon hire.
  • Physically handle jobsite demands, including lifting at least 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and walking across large construction sites in various climates and conditions.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $50,800 to $69,850 salary at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
