About the Role
Our Mechanical Foreman I & II will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn. This is a field-based, hands-on position contributing to the construction of a solar field, supporting the mechanical scope. Positions are available in Krum, Texas, Midlothian, Texas, and Brownwood, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform tasks including:
- String Line
- Laser
- Pile Shakeout
- Pile Installation
- Pile Remediation
- Tracker Shakeout
- Slew Gear Installation
- Torque Tube Installation
- Drive Line Installation
- Motor Installation
- Huck & BOMMIB
- Damper
- Module Staging
- Module Installation
- Tracker QA/QC
- Module QA/QC
- SPC Controller
- Provide technical aptitude assistance
- Train others on at least one complete Mechanical Scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods)
- Follow precise instructions and receive feedback
- Document field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking
- Model behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance, punctuality, productivity, and teamwork
- Embody Signal’s Core Principles and the One Team Approach, including planning, communication, and collaboration
Requirements
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.) as safety permits
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
- Experience working on construction projects preferred
- GED or equivalent education
