Mechanical Field Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Experience with shop and field erected tanks and piping design/installation.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications, and ensure the contractor performs installations according to the design documents and specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
  • Coincide with contractors and home office engineers on the contractor's request for information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 4 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Engineer in Training Certification or Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
  • Experience with field erected tank installations.
  • Experience with piping design and installation.
  • Experience with ASME B31.1.
  • Ability to travel and work from the construction site, per diem allowance will be provided.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills (Verbal and Written).

Physical Requirements

  • Communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems.
  • Work at construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
  • Work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse, and trailer or building on construction sites.
  • On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high.
