Mechanical Engineering Technician

Duties

• Assist Engineers as they create, modify, and test products and processes
• Operate and maintain test equipment
• Use typical hand tools to build and set-up equipment using drawings and other documentation
• Use complex measurement equipment to collect and record data
• Execute designed test protocols and conduct testing
• Work with team to organize lab functions & test equipment
• Notify manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent, plus more than 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience with a technical discipline
• Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity of electro-mechanical devices
• Proficiency with personal computers
• Experience using MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
• Good organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to follow directions and effectively execute written and verbal instructions
