Mechanical Engineering Technician

About the Role

Mechanical Engineering Technician contract position located in San Jose, CA for a medical devices company. This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week) assignment on first shift (8 AM to 5 PM).

Requirements

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical work and troubleshooting
• 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing assembly within a device manufacturing environment
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• SolidWorks knowledge is a plus
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic circuitry and other systems used in finished equipment or during prototype builds of new products
• Demonstrate working understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems
• Demonstrate working understanding of a variety of laboratory test equipment
• Assemble prototype devices and systems
• Fabricate electronic and electromechanical test fixtures
• Execute pre-defined subsystem/system qualification protocols with moderate supervision
• Set up data equipment to capture test data
• Perform basic statistical analysis of results
• Investigate, analyze, repair, and document component or system level failures
• Work within established SOPs and/or scientific methods, adhering to quality guidelines
• Work with a moderate degree of supervision

Pay

$20–$25 per hour
