Mechanical Engineering Technician
Contract position based in Johnstown, OH.
About the role
Build and assemble generator components and subsystems while adhering to established procedures. Inspect test units, document findings for engineering teams, and support continuous improvements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. Work closely with engineering and production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of generator components and subsystems
- Inspect test units and document findings for engineering teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives targeting safety, quality, and efficiency
- Utilize precision measuring equipment
- Work from engineering drawings, schematics, or assembly instructions
- Conduct quality inspections and documentation
- Contribute to process or safety improvements
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to work with tight tolerances (.001")
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, energy, aerospace, or industrial environments
- Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Metal fabrication experience

Pay
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
