About the role
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Tempe, Arizona who’s excited to tackle complex challenges and create solutions that keep our clients’ businesses running at their best. If you love working on projects that make a real impact, this is your chance.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
- Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
- Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
- Deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years of practical application of mechanical engineering design in building systems, such as HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and construction
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams from preliminary design through site construction
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD software
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $105,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
