About the role

Key responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical engineering projects, product sing, and validation activities.
- Support engineering documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and design records.
- Utilize the IFS ERP system to maintain and update engineering data and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering workflows, documentation, and reporting using digital tools and automation.
- Support manufacturing, quality, and engineering initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Open to junior and senior undergraduate students, recent graduates, and graduate students.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks or Creo preferred.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
Additional qualifications
- Exposure to manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, machining, assembly, or quality inspection.
- Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to support research, documentation, data analysis, and workflow automation.
- Experience with 3D printing.

- Location: Franklin, MA (On-Site)
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer; part-time during the academic year (if applicable)
- Commitment: Minimum 6-month commitment
- Compensation: $27 -$30 per hour
