Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-Op

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co‑Op to learn the various areas of Mechanical Engineering within the Dematic Organization, and in support of customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and upgrades on existing material handling systems.
• Perform site audits to collect required data.
• Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.
• Provide detailed layouts and documentation for all modernization scopes.
• Create purchase requests and parts order entry.
• Drive activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification.
• Provide technical support for estimating, sales, engineering teams, and field operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a 4‑year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
• Knowledge of CAD design software, including AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with computer systems and technologies.
• Ability to solve complex design issues and implement effective, cost‑efficient solutions.
• Proven communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to work as part of a solution‑oriented team.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20.00 – $29.00 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
