Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary and detailed level analysis of spacecraft flight structures and mechanisms, electronic components, and ground and test support equipment using standardized methods.
• Perform dynamic analysis of spacecraft structures to support component environment definition, acoustic analysis, response dynamics, and coupled loads analysis.
• Support vibration testing of component, subsystem and vehicle level tests.
• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
• Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with NX (Simcenter)/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and applicable experience with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints.
