Mechanical Engineer, PE I

Overview

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for producing pricing and construction design packages and providing some technical support to the construction project teams. They are also continuing to develop their system and application skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce Engineering Documents:
  • Develop pricing design documents for budgeting and value engineering projects not led by Bernhard Engineering.
  • Create construction design documents when Bernhard Engineering is the EOR.
• Conceptual Design:
  • Develop conceptual design strategies and associated documentation.
• Technical Support for Operations:
  • Provide solutions to operations teams for ongoing projects, including code research, product research, detail drawings, and calculations.
• Mentoring of Other Employees:
  • Provide mentoring to other employees, either within or outside of the department.
• Public Speaking:
  • Present to groups of three or more.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Climbing stairs.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Quiet environment.
• Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range

USD $103,175.00 - USD $132,765.00 /Yr.
