About the role

Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You will also provide on-site assistance during construction, startup, and commissioning, coordinating work activities with other design and engineering professionals and the discipline lead. You’ll be part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive team delivering engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems and components. You’ll be well positioned to bring your full skillset to bear, with regular site visits and engineering/design engagement providing plenty of opportunity to thrive in this dynamic high-energy role. During construction, you’ll be afforded the ability to flex and adjust your site presence throughout as necessary to provide support to both you and the project.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
  • Gain familiarity with client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
  • Provide on-site assistance during construction, startup, and commissioning
  • Coordinate work activities with other design and engineering professionals and the discipline lead
  • Deliver engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems and components
  • Engage in SDC (Services during Construction) and design processes
  • Support multi-disciplinary teams including those involved in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
  • Flex and adjust site presence as necessary to provide support to both you and the project

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • At least 7 years of practical application of mechanical engineering, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and related mechanical building systems
  • At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor
  • Experience with Revit

  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Navisworks
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Collaboration and effective teamwork in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
  • Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonuses, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $141,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
