Mechanical Engineer, Mid

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for the development, operation, maintenance, and testing of complex technology systems for DoD munition systems.
• Design, fabricate, modify and evaluate complicated and difficult mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems.
• Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval.
• Plan, organize and conduct technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved product or processes.
• Investigate solutions to product and/or process problems.
• Consolidate results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects.
• Provide critical test support and develop reports on findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Skills

• Experience with engineering software tools, including Pro Engineer or CREO CAD, SolidWorks, C++, MATLAB and ANSYS
• Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components
• Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze results
• Ability to fabricate and assemble system and subsystem components, using various machines or tools
• Ability to work in a complex team environment
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
