About the Role

The Mechanical EIT assists the senior design staff in the execution of technical activities required on assigned projects and learns discipline-specific technical standards and procedures. They help the project team deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Learns and applies industry standards and company technical policies during project execution.
  • Observes and learns industry practices for design analyses using software like Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Assists with design production using Revit and/or CADD under senior staff guidance.
  • Supports design processes, analysis, and basic engineering calculations under supervision.
  • Helps coordinate project designs with other disciplines, provide input for operating procedures, and share technical information.
  • Observes and learns about man-hour budget development.
  • Assists in creating technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
  • Learns to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Accompanies senior staff on site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports.
  • Participates in training and educational opportunities to enhance technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
  • Knowledge of industry software (Revit, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of engineering theories and methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
