As a Mechanical EIT, you will assist senior design staff in executing technical activities for assigned projects while learning discipline-specific standards and procedures. You will support the project team in delivering projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply industry standards and company technical policies during project execution.
  • Observe and learn design analyses using industry software under supervision.
  • Assist in producing designs using Revit and/or CADD with guidance from senior staff.
  • Support the execution of design processes and analysis on assigned projects, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Perform basic computer-based engineering calculations and system design functions.
  • Coordinate project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical input.
  • Observe and learn how project managers develop man-hour budgets.
  • Assist in developing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
  • Learn to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment sales representatives.
  • Accompany senior design staff on job site visits to investigate field conditions and monitor progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports.
  • Actively participate in internal and external training to gain technical knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of engineering theories and methodologies.
