Mechanical Engineer III - IV

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer III - IV in our San Francisco, CA, Sacramento, CA, or San Diego, CA offices.
Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer III-IV, you will be responsible for:
- Creating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers
- Performing equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes
- Progressing from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team
- Representing Syska Hennessy Group and working in close contact with and effectively interacting with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants (including owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.)
- Coordinating with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team (architectural and engineering / internal and external)
- Conducting field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work
- Assisting the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT
- Mastering drawing organization format and company standards
- Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments
- Attending continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
- Minimum of 3.5+ to 7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
- Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT required
- Basic understanding of proper system selection
- Basic knowledge of applicable codes
- FE certification required
- Strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings
- Basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements
- Knowledge of trade-specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.)
Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare, and interest in Project Management greatly preferred.

Schedule
Flexible work schedule: Monday to Thursday in the office for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours remotely at home.
Pay
California Pay range: $67,575—$122,649 USD
