Mechanical Engineer I (Onsite)

About the role

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to support design, development, and production of radars and supporting structures, electronic modules, power, and cooling sub‑systems. The position is onsite at the Marlborough, MA facility (1001 Boston Post Rd, BLDG 1). U.S. citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance are required. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex aerospace and defense problems alongside industry experts.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design and documentation of hardware and systems utilizing engineering tools, and MS Office suite.
• Contribute as part of a small team during product development, part and drawing creation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation.
• Creatively apply mechanical engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex design problems and make sound, data‑oriented technical conclusions in a fast‑paced, team environment.
• Provide factory and supplier support.
• Collaborate with other mechanical engineers, designers, and structural/thermal analysts, as well as engineers from other disciplines to support business objectives of the organization.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret DoD security clearance; active and existing clearance required after day 1.

Qualifications

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field (STEM).
• Experience with CAD software or CREO
