This entry-level opportunity is designed for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to start their career in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative work environment.

As an entry-level engineer, you will support our engineering teams in creating inspiring, demanding, and highly collaborative designs. You will learn from others while contributing your own ideas, sharing in the responsibility, rewards, and recognition of producing innovative solutions and ensuring complete client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers.
  • Learn drawing organization and company standards.
  • Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the designs of other trades (architectural, engineering—both internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.
  • Support the design and engineering efforts for new installations, system retrofits, replacements, and upgrades across a wide variety of projects.
  • Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
  • Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe and attend project coordination meetings.
  • Participate in and regularly attend the Engineering Development Program (EDT) training sessions and related activities.
  • Attend continuing education seminars on technical and professional development topics as part of the EDT program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation date of Winter 2025, Spring, or Summer 2026.
  • Previous engineering internship is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.
  • FE and EIT certification preferred.

About the EDT Program

Recent graduates in our Engineering Development Training (EDT) program participate in an accelerated yet thorough training curriculum covering both technical and industry-specific business aspects. Senior engineers work closely with each participant to foster a strong mentor/apprentice relationship. This program reflects Syska’s commitment to developing and educating young engineers through mentoring and technical training.

Pay

California Pay range: $76,029 USD - $98,182 USD. Actual pay will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skillsets, and competencies and may vary based on location.
