Mechanical Engineer - FEA Analyst

Responsibilities

• Create finite element models of complex components (rotating and stationary) and assemblies for structural analysis.
• Perform static steady state / transient, modal, shock, and fatigue analyses for turbomachinery components such as blades, impellers, rotors, casings, etc.
• Analyze results for stress, strain, displacement, modes, etc. and conclude on machine reliability.
• Prepare final reports, formal documentation, and presentation materials summarizing analysis results and presenting results internally and to clients.
• Support FEA software development group and deliver software demonstrations to prospective and current clients.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science.
• 5–10 years of experience in Structural Analysis.
• Solid knowledge of strength and structural vibrations.
• Understanding of structural analysis methods (including FEA).
• Proficient with commercial finite element analysis programs preferable ANSYS Mechanical and/or Siemens Simcenter.
• Knowledge of CAD tools is preferred.
• Background in turbomachinery components mechanical analysis is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
