Mechanical Engineer - FEA Analyst

Responsibilities
- Create finite element models of complex components (rotating and stationary) and assemblies for structural analysis.
- Perform static steady state / transient, modal, shock, and fatigue analyses for turbomachinery components such as blades, impellers, rotors, casings, etc.
- Analyze results for stress, strain, displacement, modes, etc. and conclude on machine reliability.
- Prepare final reports, formal documentation, and presentation materials summarizing analysis results and presenting results internally and to clients.
- Support FEA software development group and deliver software demonstrations to prospective and current clients.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science.
- 5–10 years of experience in Structural Analysis.
- Solid knowledge of strength and structural vibrations.
- Understanding of structural analysis methods (including FEA).
- Proficient with commercial finite element analysis programs preferable ANSYS Mechanical and/or Siemens Simcenter.
- Knowledge of CAD tools is preferred.
- Background in turbomachinery components mechanical analysis is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
