Mechanical Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead new product development initiatives by identifying market opportunities, analyzing competitors, and translating concepts into tangible products from ideation to production.
• Design components and assemblies using 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk suite), maintaining comprehensive BOMs, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and support prototyping and testing.
• Engage directly with customers and distributors to address technical inquiries, evaluate custom requests, and assess product feasibility and cost.
• Manage engineering data within ERP systems, organizing product information, documentation, and part structures efficiently.
• Support modernization efforts of legacy products to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred), along with experience creating BOMs and technical drawings, with a solid understanding of GD&T.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in hands-on manufacturing and product development roles, ideally within a fast-paced, less structured environment.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to participate in occasional supplier visits or customer meetings.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
