As a Mechanical Engineer, you will participate in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world’s leading high-tech companies. You will collaborate with other Mechanical Engineers, Designers, and Senior Project Managers to create and problem-solve complex designs using the latest techniques while ensuring all specifications are met and projects are completed on time.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed engineering designs, technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet client needs and SSOE standards.
  • Create, influence, and finalize designs for industrial and domestic piping, plumbing systems, chillers, boilers, HVAC ducting, exhaust, motor control, Fire Protection systems, and other mechanical building systems.
  • Perform mechanical system calculations, including load analysis, airflow modeling, equipment sizing, pump head curves, pressure drop, and energy consumption to optimize system performance.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques while exercising judgment in adapting and modifying design concepts.
  • Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address complex design challenges and derive solutions.
  • Facilitate internal and external design review meetings, ensuring deliverables meet quality assurance standards and project milestones while mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural) to align design package needs.
  • Perform field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, and resolve design issues, incorporating solutions into design packages.
  • Troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction as needed.
  • Manage technical inquiries, submittal reviews, and RFI responses from contractors and vendors, maintaining version control and supporting coordination during procurement and installation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred and may qualify candidates for the higher end of the salary range.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is required; experience with Navisworks, PIPE-FLO, or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or similar mechanical building systems.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes for mechanical systems, and applicable state/local building codes.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information and design concepts to project managers, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Pay

Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on location, education, experience, and certifications. Opportunity for leadership incentive and bonus programs.
