Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Our office in San Jose, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic multi-discipline team working on projects for Data Centers, Commercial, Telecom, Education, and other sophisticated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system designs based on project scope and client requests
• Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning for mechanical systems in various market types
• Conduct existing building surveys and document HVAC systems
• Perform load/energy calculations using appropriate software
• Write and edit project specifications
• Develop system design calculations and select equipment for buildings
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
• Research and comply with codes and regulations
• Collaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to ensure project coordination
• Provide construction administration services
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of design work

Skills

• Proficiency in engineering tools and software, including Autodesk
• Flexibility and willingness to handle diverse projects and tasks
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong collaboration skills in a team setting
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to continuously learn and grow
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Registration as EIT or PE preferred

Pay & Benefits

The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
